According to Bof digital magazine, 6,985 stores closed in 2017 in the USA (source from Fung Global Retail and Technology). Now as I am a big believer in the internet and my chosen industry is fashion and technology, I still firmly believe that retail stores can exist. Not only the big giants but locally as well. Here are five ideas in order to improve customer experience with technology.
1- Integrate a customer experience with augmented reality and virtual reality
Integrate and invest into a VR experience for your costumer. Let them through the runway as If they were the model. This will automatically boost the confidence of the person. It will make their time memorable and their outfit as well. It will help develop a light atmosphere that will get rid of the frustration of not finding what you want as a customer. Create the experience for them. This entail, more people on the floor instead of the register and here is why. Have you ever notice there is no register in the Apple Store. Meanwhile, the retail stores are always crowded? They have their people on the floor and this area sale strategy that you cannot miss out on. Invest in a virtual reality program and let a salesperson make this experience for them.

2- Put an I pad at the end of each of your rack
It will make the experience interactive and it will allow them to know where they have to go in each store. We live in a generation where things have to happen fast. Too many clothes can annoy the customer and it will not know where to go. Those little details can make the experience totally different. He or she will know where to go.
3-Pay with facial recognition
According to BOF the act of checking out of the store is detach to the experience, meanwhile, it is part of the process of creating the experience as well. Paying with a facial recognition allow your customer to feel unique as well. The act of checking out is part of the process inside of the store and he or she is the one delivering it to you. Union Pays as already acquire a payment system for example and retailer such as Walmart are already planning on using it.
4- Data on your costumer ( THE MOST IMPORTANT)
The deep learning technology allows is today to separate each customer. Each customer is unique. Especially if you are a big chain, I personally receive those email all the time. Look at our new collection and the story. I am going to use that strategy on my own business and totally entitled myself to the fact that I invented it. If you want to use it I will find a way to add a unique twist to it. However, I am your customer, I give you my email tell me things that I like based on my personal history with you. Prove to me as a costumer that you the company, the retail know me. For example, I received this email Weekend gateway in Paris. I am in New York I am a customer. I have so many things to do and things that I want weirdly enough the million people bloggers and businesses that sell Paris are the last things that I want. I see it all the time I am already there if I want to. Instead, keep a precipice data record and based on your purchase history tell me a story on Item that I would like to buy. For example, you already brought black choose the trends are blue you might like those model … Did you ever think of blue? This will create not only customer relationship but as well brand loyalty.
5-Interactive on item connected to your social media in the store and you can directly send the picture to your Instagram

Interact with them and their friends. As a human species, we trust what we know and people like to shop with other people. That will create an interactive effect. I strongly do not suggest to have one but two at least display in your store. If you insert the social media icon to it you will be able to make them share and talk about the experience in the store instant with the rest of the world.
